The Ides of March

The Ides of March also known as the 15th of March is upon us. You may be asking yourself why this matters. Well first of all the history is awesome. Julius Ceasar was assassinated on this day in 44 B.C. and Czar Nicholas II abdicated his throne on this day. Really interesting stuff. Also this is usually the time that Founder’s Brewing releases their Kentucky Breakfast Stout (KBS). So if you are lucky enough to live in one of the few states that gets this beer I recommend you brave the potential bad luck of the day and go find some. It is very limited. For those of you in Kansas, I’m sad to say we don’t get this one. The closest state that does is Missouri. Wait. Missouri gets it? Looks like next year I will be making a trip to KC in an attempt to land some. Thanks KC Beer Blog for letting me know such glorious things.
